Barbara Murphy
Barbara is a partner at Foster, Murphy, Altman & Nickel, PC, Washington, DC, with over 30 years of experience in Section 337, antidumping and customs, having practiced extensively before the U.S. International Trade Commission in particular. Involved in over 75 Section 337 investigations, Barbara has handled all aspects of these cases, representing domestic and foreign companies in cases involving patent, trademark, copyright and trade dress infringement, as well as claims of false advertising, trade secret misappropriation and gray market goods. Her experience covers a wide range of technologies and products, including smartphones, flash memory devices, machinery, and chemicals. She also has district court experience in trademark and copyright infringement litigation. Barbara is a past President of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association, Chair of the DC Bar International Section’s IP Committee, and an active member of the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
