Barbara A. Fiacco
Barbara is Co-Chair of Foley Hoag’s Patent Litigation Practice and represents clients in complex intellectual property and patent litigation matters. Her technology-related practice focuses on the biomedical field, including counsel to companies, universities, and research institutions. She has defended pharmaceutical and life sciences clients in significant patent infringement lawsuits that have resulted in summary judgment or other favorable outcomes for her clients. Barbara also represents these clients in trade secret, inventorship, and contract disputes as well as other commercial litigation. Barbara recently served as President of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and is currently Chair of its Subject-Matter Eligibility Task Force. She is also the Treasurer of the Alan D. Lourie Boston IP Inn of Court and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Advancement of Diversity in IP Law.
