Hon. Christopher Tuite
Magistrate Judge Tuite was appointed to the bench in February 2018 and sits in the Middle District of Florida’s Tampa Division. Judge Tuite previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for more than two decades, during which time he handled a wide variety of civil and criminal matters involving mortgage fraud, healthcare fraud, organized crime, terrorism, and large-scale narcotics conspiracies. Earlier in his career, Judge Tuite served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Michael A. Telesca, then Chief United States District Judge for the Western District of New York, and later as a Civil Division Trial Attorney in the Justice Department’s prestigious Honors Program. Judge Tuite received his J.D. from Cornell Law School, where he served as an Associate and Editor on the Cornell Law Review. Judge Tuite also served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Stetson University School of Law, where he taught a class on Electronic Discovery.
