Elysia Solomon
Elysia is Chief Counsel and Group Vice President for Pharmacy and Health at Albertson Companies Inc., where she supports the company’s fast-growing, digitally-enabled and consumer-facing pharmacy, clinical and health offerings. Prior to this role, Elysia was Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Humana Inc., where she oversaw the company’s legal strategy and management and led the company’s legal teams in IT, Privacy and Cyber-Security, Digital Health and Analytics, IP and Clinical Services. She has held a variety of positions in the legal field, including: heading Humana’s Litigation and Internal Investigations Team; defending class action litigation and government enforcement actions at an international law firm based in Washington, D.C.; teaching criminal sentencing and incarceration at University of Miami Law School; defending criminal prosecutions as a public defender; and clerking for appellate judges at the federal level in the U.S. and abroad. Elysia graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago, where she also received her law degree. Elysia volunteers and has held board positions at visual arts and environmental organizations.
