Randy Kay
Randy is a California trial lawyer with over thirty years of experience representing intellectual property owners in global disputes over trade secrets, know-how, patents, unfair competition and contracts. He handles jury trials, arbitrations, injunction proceedings and appeals. Randy chairs Jones Day’s Trade Secrets practice. His trade secret matters frequently involve parties from Europe and Asia and events occurring cross-borders. Randy represented the plaintiff in the first Defend Trade Secrets Act case where a U.S. court exercised personal jurisdiction over foreign defendants for misappropriation occurring on foreign soil.
