Samuel Rubin
Sam is a Vice President at the cybersecurity consulting firm The Crypsis Group. In addition to managing the company’s west coast operations, Sam maintains an active docket of cases and serves as an expert witness in digital forensics. He has deep expertise in matters involving data breach incident response, theft of intellectual property, and information security best practices. He has provided technical advice and expert opinions in a number of high-stakes cases, including a landmark victory in a federal trade secret misappropriation case, a federal criminal securities fraud case against a former telecom CEO, and civil litigation stemming from a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme. Sam is a frequent presenter and lecturer on digital forensics, insider threats, and other cyber-related topics. Sam received his B.A. from Emory University and holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), and a GIAC Critical Controls Certification (GCCC).
