Stacey Ellen Blaustein

Stacey is Counsel and E-Discovery Lead in the Corporate Litigation Department of the IBM Corporation in Armonk, NY. She handles IBM third-party subpoenas, with duties including reviewing and analyzing subpoena requests, drafting and serving objections, negotiating scope, identifying and interviewing custodians and data source owners, retrieving, reviewing and producing documents, and representing IBM witnesses at depositions. She also handles Government Investigations and Matters where IBM is a third party. Stacey manages all aspects of E-Discovery for Corporate Litigation, from working on global and domestic cases, to setting policies and best practices in E-Discovery, maintaining IBM’s E-Discovery mapping and keeping all commonly used areas of communication company-wide compliant with retention and extraction capabilities. She handles data privacy issues for litigation, starting from DPA’s to managing cross-border discovery issues on matters, within the changing privacy environment. In addition, Stacey provides regular guidance and management of Information Governance issues, Records Retention and Preservation issues. Her previous experience includes over 18 years as a firm securities litigation attorney and general litigator for the three years preceding. Stacey is an active member of the Sedona Conference and is a member of  Working Group 6 on Cross-Border Discovery and the Mideast Data Privacy Subcommittee, Chairs the Corporate Counsel Section of Working Group 6 and is a Faculty Member of Electronic Discovery Institute. She is a graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University and the Emory University School of Law.
