Michael Becker

Michael is a German-qualified solicitor (Rechtsanwalt) and Managing Director at Consilio. He advises clients in critical cross-border investigations, with expertise in discovery procedures, crisis situations and data protection. Michael has overseen major international antitrust investigations, litigations, arbitrations and internal investigation as well as compliance cases for multinational corporations and international banks. He has been involved in the planning and management of multiple large-scale document collection and review projects. Michael is responsible for Consilio’s offices in Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and Zurich. While in private practice, Michael worked on one of the largest electronic discovery projects in history of an internal investigation of corporate corruption, involving the search and review of 82 million electronic documents. He speaks German, English, and Italian, and has worked with a range of European, U.S. and Asian law firms and corporations. Prior to joining Consilio, Michael practiced law for international law firms, including CHSH in Vienna (Austria) and Bucharest (Romania), Debevoise & Plimpton in Frankfurt (Germany) and Dammeier & Partner in Wiesbaden (Germany). He was educated at the University of Heidelberg and Mainz (Assessor Exam) and Public Prosecutor’s Department and District Court of Dusseldorf (Bar Exam).
