Casey Mangan

Joseph R. Mangan ("Casey") is the Senior Program Attorney at TSC. Casey supports Working Group 9 on Patent Damages and Remedies (WG9), Working Group 10 on Patent Litigation Best Practices (WG10), and Working Group 12 on Trade Secrets (WG12). Casey earned a B.A. degree Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Southern California, a Masters in Management degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a J.D. degree from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he was Managing and Note and Comment Editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. Before joining TSC, Casey served as in-house counsel at Allstate Insurance Company, handling intellectual property prosecution and litigation matters and negotiating software license, professional services, development, confidentiality and licensing contracts. Casey has also worked for several law firms and clerked for Justice George W. Lindberg of the Illinois Appellate Court. As a volunteer, Casey has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Trademark Association and the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago and as Chair of the Association of Corporate Counsel Intellectual Property Network. Casey has received various recognitions, including the INTA Volunteer Service Award, Allstate’s Best of the Best Award, Allstate’s Distinctive Service Award, the Managing Intellectual Property IP Star Award, the First Chair Award, the ACC Intellectual Property Network Member of the Year Award, and in 2021, Casey was nominated for ACC’s Network Member of the Year Award.
